To complete this course, students must satisfactorily complete 160 hours of supervised work placement with an approved early childhood education and care service. Students must also complete an Auctus Work Placement Record during their placement.
Students are encouraged to arrange their own vocational placement with a local early childhood education and care service where possible. This allows students to gain experience within their local community and may provide greater flexibility during placement.
If a student is unable to secure a placement independently, Auctus will provide support by liaising with industry partners and early childhood education and care services to assist in identifying and arranging a suitable placement opportunity. The Auctus Placement Coordinator will guide students throughout the placement process and provide the necessary information and support.
Please note that vocational placements are generally unpaid.
