To complete the TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, you are required to complete 12 units of competency, of which 3 are core units and 9 are elective.

Core Units:

• TAEDES511 Design and develop strategies for training and assessment
• TAEDES515 Evaluate training
• TAEPDD511 Maintain and enhance professional practice

Elective Units:

• TAEDEL511 Facilitate e-learning
• TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools
• TAETAS511 Undertake organisational training needs analysis
• TAEDES513 Design and develop e-learning resources (Student Choice)
• BSBAUD511 Initiate quality audits
• BSBAUD512 Lead quality audits
• BSBAUD513 Report on quality audits
• BSBAUD514 Interpret compliance requirements
• BSBAUD515 Evaluate and review compliance
• BSBSTR503 Develop organisational policy (Student Choice)

The student must choose either TAEDES513 or BSBSTR503 to meet the Packaging Rules. 

All of the following entry requirements apply to enter this course:

• Must be over the age of 18 years when your course starts
• Successful completion of the Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment
• Complete Auctus enrolment process
• If required, complete a CSPA assessment and the Upfront Assessment of Need process
• Student must be currently working in an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) and have minimum of 1 year of work experience as a trainer. 
• Students must own or have access to laptop or desktop with camera, an email account, and a smartphone. 
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite effectively (particularly Microsoft Words, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc...)

If your training is subsidised, the South Australian Government pays part of your course fees for you. The money goes straight to your training provider, so you can focus on your training. You will be required to pay only the co-contribution.

You may be eligible for subsidised training if you live or work in South Australia, and you are:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen
• a permanent Australian resident, or
• an eligible visa holder

Yes, employment status does not impact your eligibility to access government subsidised training.

No, you do not need to hold a concession card.

Every learner studying in a nationally recognised training organisation must meet the criteria which includes completing the Language, Literacy and Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment as part of the requirements to access Government subsidised funding for each course they enrol in. Subsidised funding cannot be accessed without the completion of the LLND assessment. The LLND assessment is also aimed at checking if students meet foundation skills requirements for the qualification.
