With a background in design and painting in their family's culture, Leah and Jasmine naturally progressed to use their developed skills and turn them into a family business. After the passing of their mother and sister, Leah and Jasmine found that their commitment to their painting acted as a stress reliever and gave them a new focus in their life.
Wulla Designs is an Aboriginal business which specializes in manufacturing clothing, artwork and hand painted items in the consumer and corporate market. They are known for making blankets as well as AFL themed paintings and clothes. With the help of the program, Wulla Designs was able get up and running despite COVID and has since been invited to showcase and attend the London Pacific Week in the United Kingdom for 2021.
Leah and Jasmine were able to change their approach to business by seeking alternative opportunities. Apart from tendering for the SA Water Pipeline Project, the ladies won contracts with the local school teaching art classes and promoting teamwork and collaboration through art.
