Charlie`s Story - The Holistic Hygienist

With 13 years experience in the dental industry, Charlie dreamt of opening her own clinic in the regional area of Port Lincoln. Charlie recognised that people in remote communities have limited access to regular dental maintenance which can often lead to health problems. Determined to make oral health and teeth whitening products accessible to all, her small business the Holistic Hygienist was born.

With the support of the program, Charlie was given the tools to create a confident, successful business that turned over tens of thousands of dollars in her first year of trading and it has not even reached it's peak performance yet. "It wasn't the program's income that I wanted, it was the business knowledge and the training so I would know what I was getting into on the other side of the business. It was the support from people who gave me the confidence to continue. It was like a fallback security position should I need it. It took away some of the pitfalls I could have fallen into, and I am grateful for it."

Founded on holistic health practices and sustainability, Charlie's business has been extremely successful. She has developed cruelty free and eco-friendly care products that are safe to use every day AND has made her business the best option for providing oral health education and creating awareness among rural and isolated communities.
