Brigetta`s Story - Red Top Grooming

 Having suffered self-esteem and self-doubt her entire life, Brigetta has overcome her fears and turned her lifelong dream into a reality by creating her very own dog grooming service, Red Top Grooming. After being refused by numerous lenders, her application was approved for a micro-enterprise loan and training which she attributes as the key to her success. 

Although her practical ability was excellent having worked in the industry for many years, she dreamed of owning her own business. With the support of the program, she learned to plan, create goals, focus on her strengths and bring her business to where it is today. "The training has been the main driving force to my success. It is where I learnt how to define my goals. I learnt to never stop believing in myself because in business, setbacks are not failures, but the opportunity to learn and change."

In the months after she completed the program, Brigetta's business grew dramatically with her services being booked out weeks in advance. With options to look into hiring part time groomers, her business has soared.

Brigetta shared that her long term dream is to give back to the community. She plans to do this by supporting special needs children with autism assistance dogs. It goes to show that you should never give up on your dream!
