This unit brings awareness and recognition of the core Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirements in the training and assessment field. It helps then build a tailored approach to help individuals overcome or access support at the right level.

Upon completion of this LLN course, trainers should be able to:

• Know what the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) stands for and how to apply its principles in any training program or unit of competency.
• Establish the core LLN needs of learners with the training to be delivered and customize to suit.
• Identify when presented with LLN needs through various tools and methods
• Know how to access specialist support as needed for learners with particular LLN needs.
